The European Union has suspended its planned retaliatory measures against US President Donald Trump's tariffs for 90 days. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced this on her X page.
"We have noted President Trump's statement. We want to give the negotiations a chance. While we are completing the process of adopting EU countermeasures, which have received broad support from our member states, we will suspend them for 90 days," von der Leyen said.
Recall that Donald Trump announced yesterday that the US will suspend tariffs on more than 75 countries for 90 days and reduce the reciprocity threshold to 10%.
