No aid to Lebanon: US vetoes

Washington has informed the Gulf states, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, that they are prohibited from providing financial assistance to Lebanon at the current stage. They are waiting for the economic, political, and security conditions set by the US, the development of relations with Iran, and Beirut's response, the Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar reported, citing Arab diplomatic sources.

According to the sources, this undeclared "veto" is part of a policy of "maximum pressure," which will continue until the goal of removing obstacles between Lebanon and Israel and disarming Hezbollah is achieved. It is noted that this US decision is not limited to Lebanon; it also applies to Syria.
