Issues related to transport corridor discussed with the Iranian minister

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzane Sadiqi.

According to APA, Aliyev noted that the agenda of the Azerbaijan-Iran intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation includes important projects to deepen cooperation in economics, trade, energy, transport, and other spheres.

Farzane Sadiqi said Iran is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan in all areas. According to her, holding a session of the commission before the Iranian president's planned visit to Azerbaijan is very important for discussing the issues on the agenda.

The meeting discussed the development of the North-South transport corridor, the project to construct a road bridge connecting the settlements of Agbend and Kyalale on the Araks River, and cooperation issues in other areas of mutual interest.
