US President Donald Trump said, "I have a great relationship with a man named Erdogan. I like him, and I like him."
"I have a perfect relationship with Turkey and its leader. I told Erdogan that they did something that no one has done in 2,000 years: Turkey took control of Syria," the US president said.
Trump added that the Turkish president is "tough and very smart."
"If you ever have a problem with Turkey, I can help solve it, but you have to be smart," Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
