French President Emmanuel Macron will host a trilateral summit in Cairo on April 8 and 9 with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Jordanian King Abdullah II. The topic of discussion is the situation in the Gaza Strip.
The summit is being organized at the invitation of the Egyptian president, in the context of which Israel has resumed attacks on Hamas in the Gaza Strip and intensified operations against the Hezbollah group in Lebanon.
According to the French presidential office, Macron will meet with his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo on Monday morning, and the trilateral summit will be held in Cairo on the same day.
On Tuesday, Macron will also visit the port of El-Arish, located 50 kilometers west of the Gaza Strip. There, he will meet with humanitarian and security workers. El-Arish is one of the main transit points for international aid to Gaza.
