Ambulance helicopter crashes into sea in Japan, killing three

An air ambulance helicopter that had been reported missing has been found in the sea off Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. Six people were on board, three of whom are alive, and three have died. Authorities confirmed the information.

The Japan Coast Guard reported that it received a report on Sunday afternoon that the helicopter had lost contact while taking off from Tsushima Island Airport and was heading to a hospital in Fukuoka.

During the search, the helicopter was found on the water.

According to reports, the pilot, mechanic, and nurse were rescued, and their consciousness was in place. The doctor, the female patient, and one of her relatives died.

An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances of the accident.
