The world's richest people lost $208 billion in one day after US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs.
According to Bloomberg, Trump's imposition of large-scale tariffs has caused a sharp decline in global markets. The wealth of the world's 500 wealthiest people fell by $208 billion in one day, with more than half of them losing an average of 3.3 percent.
The biggest losers were:
Mark Zuckerberg - $17.9 billion after Meta shares fell 9%
Jeff Bezos - $15.9 billion, Amazon shares also fell 9%
Elon Musk - $11 billion in one day; by 2025, he has already lost $110 billion.
Tech giants, including Apple and Nvidia, have lost $6 trillion in the past few days, and several companies' market values have fallen below $3 trillion.
Analysts are calling this a "worst-case scenario for technology."
