Netanyahu arrives in Budapest despite ICC ruling

Benjamin Netanyahu arrived on a state visit to Hungary, which recognizes the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Earlier, the court issued an arrest warrant for the Israeli prime minister.

Netanyahu was met at the Budapest airport by Hungarian Defense Minister Krzysztof Szalai-Bobrovnicki.

It should be recalled that the ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant for the actions of the Israeli military in the Gaza Strip. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban strongly condemned the move, promised to invite Netanyahu to Budapest, and ignored the Hague's demand.
