French and Turkish Foreign Ministers Discuss Armenian-Azerbaijani Settlement Process

The French Foreign Ministry reported that French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot met with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, on April 2.

The parties also discussed the situation in the South Caucasus, among many other issues.

“The ministers noted that the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, based on respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both states, should turn the South Caucasus into a zone of peace, integration and cooperation,” the statement said.

The ministers also discussed the situation in Ukraine, Gaza, and Syria and EU-Turkey relations.
