Greece unveils 25 billion euro defense plan

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has announced a 25 billion euro defense spending plan until 2037. It outlines a 12-year strategy to boost the country’s military capabilities.

Greece’s recent acquisitions include 24 Rafale jets and frigates from France and a possible order for 40 F-35 fighter jets from the United States.

Mitsotakis said the defense minister now has an entire budget and must prioritize and choose what is essential.
