In an interview with RIA Novosti, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that relations between Russia and China are unshakable and firm.
"The China-Russia comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership have withstood the test of international instability. They are ahead of their time, unshakable and solid like Mount Taishan. We fully understand and support Russia in safeguarding its legitimate rights and interests through diplomatic means. The human community shares a common destiny, and major powers should follow the course of history and make greater contributions to the welfare of humanity with a sense of responsibility," he said.
Wang Yi also criticized allegations that US President Donald Trump, by allegedly supporting Moscow, is trying to antagonize Beijing. "Russian friends have probably also noticed those who like to make noise and speculate again about the so-called "reverse Nixon" strategy. We see in this not only the immediate transactionalization of international politics but also the return of outdated confrontation and bloc thinking," the agency added. Interlocutor:
