European and international financial institutions are ready to invest more than €10 billion in the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas announced at a press conference following the 20th Central Asia-EU Ministerial Meeting in Ashgabat.
Kallas stressed that it is not just a trade route but a corridor that can improve ties between the region's countries and contribute to closer cooperation with Europe.
The meeting also discussed issues related to expanding youth exchanges and strengthening contacts in the business and academic sectors.
