NATO chief warns: "Now is not the time to act alone."

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has stressed the importance of transatlantic cooperation, saying that global security challenges cannot be solved by acting alone.

In a speech in Warsaw, he sent a message to the United States and Europe, insisting that independent countries must unite and keep their alliances strong.

Rutte stressed that "this is not the time to act alone, neither for Europe nor North America." He also noted that the security challenges are so severe that no country can face them alone.

The Secretary-General stressed the importance of building mutual trust. He demanded that Europe increase its military spending and take the necessary steps and that the United States inspire confidence in its allies.

This statement came after NATO came under severe pressure due to the policies of the Donald Trump administration. In a recent conversation, senior US officials criticized the European defense's "free exploitation."

New Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has even indicated that the US is no longer primarily focused on European security and may be reducing its troops in Europe.
