"If America decides to be in the middle, it should be in the middle, not close to the Kremlin." Zelensky

In an interview with Eurovision News, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the US president's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, often quotes Russian narratives, which weakens US pressure on the Kremlin.

He emphasized that Witkoff's statements "do not bring us closer to peace but, on the contrary, harm Ukraine's information support."

Witkoff often quotes Kremlin narratives. Unfortunately, this will not bring us closer to peace. It will weaken the Americans' pressure on the Russian Federation, and we can only correct this information field with our actions; we are trying to do this," Zelensky said.

According to the president, such statements create a false impression among the American audience and can affect the position of the US administration.

"I have always told President Trump, I want the Americans to be on our side. Even if America decides to be in the middle, it should be in the middle, not close to the Kremlin," Zelensky emphasized.
