A source reported to TASS that Russian Ambassador to Washington Alexander Darchiev will leave for the United States on March 26.
“As expected, the ambassador is leaving for Washington on March 26,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
In early March, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing Darchiev, who until recently headed the North Atlantic Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as Russia’s ambassador to Washington.
Moscow and Washington agreed on February 18 in Riyadh to ensure the early appointment of US ambassadors to the US and Russia.
