Reuters reported that India is ready to reduce or eliminate tariffs on more than half of its imports from the United States.
New Delhi plans to reduce or eliminate tariffs on 55% of American imports worth more than $23 billion. The move comes in response to the Trump administration's upcoming retaliatory tariffs, which will take effect on April 2 and affect 87% of Indian exports to the United States, worth $66 billion.
Reuters notes that this could be India's most significant tariff concession recently.
