White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Donald Trump still has complete confidence in National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, despite his inadvertently including an Atlantic reporter in a chat with officials about strikes on Yemen.
"As President Trump has said, the strikes on the Houthis have been very successful and effective. President Trump continues to have full confidence in his national security team, including National Security Adviser Mike Waltz," Leavitt said in a statement to CNN.
It should be noted that President Trump also addressed the issue, saying he knew nothing about it and was hearing it for the first time.
