Radar Armenia presents which countries participate in the F-35 fighter program and their orders. The F-35 program refers to the development, production, and operation of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter.
19 Western countries are participating in the program. Portugal was the only one that recently refused a previously approved order.
The F-35 program is an international project led by the United States. Many partner countries participate in developing, producing, and operating the fighter. Below is a list of countries and their confirmed orders, including the United States.
- United States - US Air Force (USAF) - 1,763, US Marine Corps (USMC) - 353 F-35B (short take-off and vertical landing) and 67 F-35C (designed for landing), US Navy - 273 F-35C
In total, the US plans to acquire about 2,400 F-35 fighters.
