Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that restoring the strategic partnership with the United States is one of our foreign policy priorities.
“We have previously made several public statements regarding our desire to restore it fully, to start a strategic partnership from a clean slate, and not just start a strategic partnership, but to do it with a concrete roadmap that will reflect specific tasks,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
The Prime Minister noted that the Foreign Minister initiated the meeting with the US Ambassador, which took place shortly after.
“As for Georgian-American relations, there is a consensus; the main thing is that concrete steps are taken. All this will largely depend on how much the Deep State will ultimately be defeated in the United States.” There are still problems and a profound influence of the Deep State. "If it is possible to completely or qualitatively defeat the Deep State, then I believe that nothing will prevent the restoration of Georgian-American relations," the Prime Minister noted.
