Kennedy assassination documents declassified

Documents related to the 1963 assassination of former US President John F. Kennedy have been released by order of President Donald Trump.

This evening, the US National Archives and Records Administration posted more than 1,100 files totaling 31,000 pages on its website. The National Archives' collection of more than 6 million pages related to the assassination, including documents, photographs, films, recordings, and artifacts, has previously been released.

Trump announced the release of the documents on Monday during a visit to the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington.

"We have a huge amount of papers. You're going to have a lot of reading," Trump said.
