The deputy chairman and spokesman of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party, Ömer Çelik, has discussed normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and the latest joint statement.
According to Çelik, two points remain unresolved: the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group and the implementation of amendments to the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia.
“It will be essential for Armenia to change the laws or some articles of the Constitution directed against Azerbaijan. It is time to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group, which has been created for years to resolve this issue, but instead of resolving it, it has complicated it and no longer has a mission. From now on, when all these steps are taken, the process of normalizing relations between Turkey and Armenia will gain momentum, and all the peoples of the region will benefit from it. Peace in the Caucasus will be beneficial,” he stated.
