"There will be serious consequences": Iran responds to Trump

Iran has responded to Trump's statements that the country will bear full responsibility for further attacks by the Houthis.

Iran has denied US President Donald Trump's accusations and threats against Tehran over the situation in Yemen, according to a letter sent by Iran to the UN Security Council.

In the letter, Iran stated that "any aggressive action will have serious consequences." According to the official IRNA news agency, Iran's permanent representative to the UN, Amir Saeed Eravani, stressed in his letter to the Security Council that Tehran resolutely rejects and condemns the "reckless and provocative" statements of American officials, including Trump himself.

The letter states that "any aggressive action will have dire consequences, and full responsibility for it will fall on the US."
