Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bojorishvili said on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue that Georgia has always supported and encouraged Armenia's and Azerbaijan's peace efforts.
“I am talking about a small but dynamic region, the South Caucasus. Georgia has always supported and encouraged the efforts of its neighbors, Armenia and Azerbaijan. We are glad they have found the path to peace and announced a peace agreement, which is very important for the entire region,” he said.
The minister also spoke about the occupation of the country by Russia and noted that it remains a complex issue as the occupation continues and security problems persist.
“Two regions of Georgia continue to be occupied by Russia, and this poses a serious threat to our region. As a Georgian diplomat, it has been a difficult task for me for a long time to explain, on the one hand, the dangers of the Russian occupation and, on the other hand, the enormous opportunities it opens up,” he emphasized.
