The Ukrainian authorities believe the war can end in 2025 and want it to happen this year, as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, stated in an interview with the Firstpost TV channel.
"We believe the war will end this year; we want the war to end this year. We are all united by this strategic goal—to achieve a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace," he said.
According to the foreign minister, Ukraine supports the US proposal for a ceasefire. "We expect that Russia will accept the proposal for an unconditional ceasefire. This will be a huge step towards bringing this peace closer," the Ukrainian foreign minister added.
