Russia is ready to provide a platform for signing a peace treaty

Russia welcomes the conclusion of negotiations on the draft text of the peace agreement and the establishment of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, stated the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"We support this critical step towards a complete and comprehensive settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, as envisaged in the trilateral agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia for 2020-2022.

We aim to provide every assistance in further advancing the peace process and resolving issues between Baku and Yerevan, including the signing of a peace agreement, the lifting of the blockade of transport communications, the demarcation of the common border, and humanitarian issues in an amount and manner acceptable to the partners.

The Russian Foreign Minister's Special Representative for the Normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations, Igor Khovayev, is ready to visit Baku and Yerevan to hold relevant consultations.

"We confirm our proposal to provide a Russian platform for the full range of issues of normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations between representatives of Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as for the signing of a peace treaty," the statement said.
