Qatar to supply gas to Syria

Qatar has announced that it will start supplying 2 million cubic meters of natural gas daily to Syria via Jordan to support its energy needs.

The Syrian official SANA news agency reported that the natural gas supply will be carried out under a project financed by the Qatar Development Fund. Syrian Energy Minister Omar Shahrukh said the gas supplies will help support the country's energy sector.
