NBC News reports, citing sources, that US President Donald Trump has removed his special envoy for Russia and Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, from high-level talks on the settlement of the war at Moscow's request. According to journalists, Russian President Vladimir Putin considered him too "pro-Ukrainian."
Journalists note that Kellogg was absent from recent talks with the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia, although they were "within his jurisdiction."
"Kellogg is a former American general who is very close to Ukraine. He is not our type, not the caliber we are looking for," NBC quoted an unnamed Russian official.
It should be noted that Putin held talks yesterday with Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump's special envoy for the Middle East.
