Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an interview with an Iranian newspaper that Tehran and Washington maintain contacts and are already holding consultations on Iran's nuclear program through mediators.
"We have a plan for possible nuclear negotiations and a well-thought-out strategy. Negotiations are continuing through mediators, and channels of interaction with three European countries (Great Britain, Germany, and France) are also being maintained," the minister said.
"The Europeans played a good mediating role in the last stage and can also play a good role now. We are continuing these negotiations with the Europeans, and in parallel, close consultations are continuing with Russia and China. Ultimately, the US must lift sanctions. However, we will enter into direct negotiations when we are equal, free from pressure and threats, and confident that the people's national interests will be ensured," the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized.
