“If Armenia wants peace in the region, it must closely cooperate with the judicial process taking place in Baku,” Hikmet Hajiyev stated.
According to him, there are people on the territory of Armenia who, so-called, “committed war crimes against humanity, against the Azerbaijani people, and they must be held criminally liable.”
The official continued his harsh rhetoric, noting that Armenia is mistaken if it thinks it can influence Azerbaijan with any formula.
“The issue of compensation is also under discussion. On the instructions of the President, the relevant structures of Azerbaijan, using modern methods, have accurately and thoroughly assessed the damage caused by the destruction of our cities and villages, the destruction and looting of our material and cultural heritage by Armenia during the 30-year occupation,” he said.
