Zelensky accused Russia of prolonging the war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has addressed the ongoing discussions on US proposals for a ceasefire in Ukraine, accusing Russia of prolonging the war. He called on the US to “force” Moscow to stop the war.

Zelensky specifically emphasized that “for more than a day now, the world has not heard a meaningful response from Russia to the proposals put forward.”

“This again shows that Russia wants to prolong the war and postpone peace as much as possible. We hope that US pressure will be enough to force Russia to stop the war,” he said.
