"The EU is ready to play a full role in the negotiations." European Commission President

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has responded to the agreements reached in the US-Ukraine talks in Saudi Arabia.

“We welcome the news from Jeddah about the US-Ukraine talks, including the proposal for a peace agreement, the resumption of intelligence sharing, and the provision of US security assistance. This positive development can achieve a comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace for Ukraine.

Now, the ball is in Russia’s court. The EU stands ready to join its partners in the upcoming peace talks,” she said.
