US President Donald Trump has announced that US officials are currently traveling to Russia to discuss a ceasefire in Ukraine.
“It all depends on Russia now,” he added.
Trump expects Russia to agree to the proposal for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine and hopes that it will happen without pressure.
“I hope it won’t be necessary, but we can do it,” he said, answering whether Washington has leverage over Moscow in the context of a settlement.
