The hacker group Dark Storm Team has claimed responsibility for the attack on the social network X (formerly Twitter) owned by Elon Musk, according to the American magazine Newsweek.
The hacker group was founded in 2023. As its “victims,” the group chooses organizations that support Israel in the military conflict with Palestine.
The massive DDoS attack took place on Monday, March 10. The social network's website and application did not work for more than four hours. After some time, the Dark Storm Team announced on their Telegram channel that their hackers had attacked the platform.
Elon Musk himself announced that Ukrainian IP addresses were involved in the cyberattack on the platform. According to the businessman, “a coordinated group or an entire state” could have participated.
