The US has supplied corn to Russia for the first time in three years

After an almost three-year break, the United States has resumed corn exports to Russia for the first time.

At the beginning of 2025, America shipped $55.5 thousand worth of goods to Russia. The previous supply, in March 2022, cost Russia $44.9 thousand.

In January alone, the United States sold $1.5 billion worth of corn, which is 31% higher than the value of last year's grain. Mexico became the leader in imports ($408 million), followed by Japan and South Korea.

Recall that in early March, the Union of Industrialists and Businessmen negotiated with the US Chamber of Commerce on easing the sanctions against Russia.
