Thousands of flights in Germany have been canceled in hubs such as Berlin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, and Munich due to a one-day strike announced today.
The strike in Germany has affected 13 airports.
Travel disruptions have affected more than half a million people across the country.
The 24-hour strike, which began at midnight, involves airport staff in the budget sector and ground and security staff.

Of the 1,116 flights scheduled to arrive and depart on schedule, 1,050 have already been canceled, and the number is expected to rise.
