According to Politico, US President Donald Trump has given instructions to the government cabinet.
"You are responsible for your departments, not Elon Musk," Trump said.
He limited the powers of Elon Musk after the mass dismissals of civil servants.
Now, Musk has the right to instruct departments but not make personnel decisions alone. He was also present at the ministers' meeting.
Musk agreed with Trump's remarks and admitted that the Government Efficiency Office made some mistakes. However, it is still unclear whether Trump's order will result in the return of dismissed employees.
Trump emphasized that he wants to keep good people in the government and prevent the mass dismissal of capable federal employees.
