South Korean fighter jet accidentally drops a bomb on a residential area

During a training exercise in South Korea, a KF-16 fighter jet mistakenly dropped 8 MK-82 bombs outside the test range. The South Korean Yonhap news agency reported this.

The publication writes that instead of the test range, the bomb fell on a residential area in the city of Pocheon, injuring seven people. It is reported that four of them are in serious condition. The dump also damaged several residential buildings and a church.

Pocheon is located about 40 kilometers from Seoul, near the border with North Korea. The AFP news agency, citing the South Korean National Fire Agency, reports that the bombs were dropped during joint exercises between South Korea and the United States.
