US discusses venue for talks with Ukraine

White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said in an interview with Fox News that US President Donald Trump will consider restoring aid to Ukraine if talks are held and confidence-building measures are taken.

According to Waltz, the US is discussing the location and date of the talks with Ukraine.

He added that if the talks are successful, the US will consider resuming military aid to Ukraine.

“We are already talking about confidence-building measures, which we will then apply to the Russians and test that side,” he said.

“I think if we can clarify these talks and move forward with them and propose confidence-building measures, then the president will seriously consider the possibility of lifting this pause,” Waltz stressed.
