Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has declared that the United States has started a trade war against Canada.
“Trump said that Mexico and Canada have no way to avoid tariffs. Donald, you are a smart man, but this is a foolish move,” he said.
Trudeau noted that Ottawa will impose a 25 percent tariff on American goods.
“Canadians are reasonable, and we are polite. But we will not back down,” the Canadian prime minister said.
