France will not send military forces to Ukraine. Lecornu

French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu announced in a speech to the country's parliament that military forces will not be sent to Ukraine.

"The president and the prime minister have repeatedly emphasized that we will not send military forces to Ukraine to participate in the war. We can only talk about peacekeepers to ensure security and reduce tensions," the minister said.

According to the minister, instead, peacekeeping troops, security forces, or forces to reduce tensions could be deployed, all of which have already been used as models by the French armed forces.

"For example, the presence of the French army in West Berlin at the height of the Cold War, as well as mandates that could be under the auspices of the UN. But it is too early to talk about this; we have not yet reached that stage," the French defense minister emphasized.
