Austria has a new chancellor

Today, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen took the oath of office for the new coalition government.

Christian Stocker, leader of the Conservative People's Party (ÖVP), has become the new Chancellor of Austria.

Earlier, three centrist parties in Austria announced that they had agreed to form a new government.

It should be noted that the coalition includes three forces: the Conservative People's Party, the center-left Social Democratic Party, and the liberal Neos Party.

Notably, the Austrian pro-Russian right-wing populist Freedom Party appeared on the sidelines despite receiving the most votes in the elections.
