President Donald Trump has hinted at tense talks with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, whom he described as a “very tough negotiator.”
“You’ve been great. However, you’re a very tough negotiator. I’m not sure I like that, but that’s okay,” Trump said during a joint press conference.
He noted that the “special relationship” between the United States and the United Kingdom remains unchanged after their meetings.
“The Prime Minister and I are off to a great start. Unlike any other relationship passed down for centuries, the United States and the United Kingdom have a very special relationship. And we’re going to keep it that way. We’re going to keep it that way,” Trump stressed.
