BFMTV reported, citing its sources, that US President Donald Trump wanted to cancel Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to Washington, but French President Emmanuel Macron intervened.
According to the channel, Zelensky received a message from the US administration the day before yesterday advising him not to come to Washington. After that, he called the French president, who asked Trump to receive the Ukrainian president.
"Trump agreed and said on Wednesday that he would receive the Ukrainian leader at the White House," the article says.
