The EU has offered Ukraine a deal on “critical minerals.” It coincided with Donald Trump’s announcement that Washington was close to striking a deal with Kyiv.
European Commissioner for Industrial Strategy Stephane Séjourne said a competing offer had been made to Ukrainian officials he met in Kyiv during a European Commission visit to mark the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion.
“21 of the 30 most critical materials that Europe needs can be provided by Ukraine in a mutually beneficial partnership,” Séjourne said.
