“Our decisions played a decisive role in preventing Georgia from becoming a second front. Not joining the anti-Russian sanctions was a historic decision. After that, a direct attempt was made to escalate in Georgia to drag the country into the military conflict in Ukraine,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to him, if Georgia had joined the sanctions, it would have faced economic ruin. Therefore, this decision was fundamentally important.
Earlier, Kobakhidze stated that the Georgian government had done everything to maintain peace and security in the country.
“We succeeded in this struggle even though enormous efforts were made to open a second front in Georgia,” he said.
