During a meeting with his US counterpart Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron said Paris and London had prepared a plan for security guarantees for Kyiv.
“What we have prepared with our British partners is that we are ready to provide Ukraine with security guarantees that could go as far as sending troops,” he said.
He said the troops would not necessarily be deployed on the front lines but would be present “as a security guarantee.”
