The Ukrainian parliament has defeated a vote on Resolution No. 13039 on supporting democracy in Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
Only 218 deputies voted in favor of the resolution. It was intended to emphasize the need to maintain the principle of institutional continuity of power, especially during martial law. The draft emphasized that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky should fulfill his duties until the newly elected president takes office.
