Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ayhan Hajizadeh announced that the accreditation of the BBC, Sputnik, and Voice of America has been revoked.
According to him, the Russian company can only receive accreditation for one correspondent in Azerbaijan. This decision was made to eliminate the discrepancy in the mutual representations of the state news agencies of Azerbaijan and Russia.
It is reported that Sputnik Azerbaijan operated as part of the Russian state agency Rossiya Segodnya.
