The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, who is in Italy on a working visit, met with Giulio Tremonti, the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Paolo Formentini, the Vice-Chairman, and members of the committee.
The discussions focused on issues related to the Armenian-Italian agenda and inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as Armenia’s European integration and the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Alen Simonyan drew the attention of his Italian colleagues to the issue of the repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan, the National Assembly reports.
