Hamas accuses Netanyahu of delaying the ceasefire agreement

The Palestinian Hamas group has said that negotiations with Israel on the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip have not yet begun, Al Jazeera reports.

Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif al-Qanua accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately “obstructing” the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire.

Al-Qanua stressed that the movement is still waiting for Israel to fulfill all the points of the “humanitarian protocol” related to the ceasefire. He also noted that Hamas is ready to thoroughly implement all stages of the agreement.

Israel is accused of blocking the entry of temporary shelters into Gaza, including mobile homes and tents, as well as heavy equipment.
